Before attempting any modifications on your KaiOS device, you should always back up your personal data, and/or the operating system itself; especially if you’re using it as a daily driver.
In this section, you will find some guides and tools that may help you navigate and obtain a copy of your data, device settings, or entire partitions in case of any problems with your KaiOS devices. Depending on your need, the scope of a backup can vary between:
your files, messages, contacts and any saved media;
device partitions, in case you want to format or replace with custom images.
With Wallace and ADBroot, we can easily extract or restore everything simply using a command from the device shell.
Send and receive files between the phone’s internal storage and a Mac over MTP, Bluetooth or through ADB commands.

The built-in Calendar app allows syncing events through Google, ActiveSync or CalDAV accounts. strukturart’s greg in KaiStore also allows syncing events with Nextcloud.
Each note in the Notes app can be shared via SMS, Bluetooth or Email.
Images and videos taken via the Camera app are stored under DCIM. Voice recordings are stored in the audio folder.
