The Crosscall Core-S4 is a french made feature phone that is made in seek of resistance and waterproofness. It has a Mediatek chip in it, what makes it not so easy to debug, and impossible to root by now. However, you can tweak it as is with a computer. We will show you here some tricks to perform in order to make it more yours.
First, lets set up your environment. Download the Palemoon browser here and the android sdk platform tools here. Now, open a windows command prompt, and type cd [platform tools folder path]
Then, go in your web browser on the phone, and go to dorime.surge.sh, and click on the dorime button. Now, you will be able to put your device into debug mode and enable ADB Tools
Plug your phone into your computer, and in the command prompt type : adb forward tcp:6000 localfilesystem:/data/local/debugger-socket
Now, your device is ready to be customized !

Uninstalling Google apps, KaiNews, Kaiweather or any app :
Download the AppBuster app, go into WebIDE in Palemoon (Click the blue Pale moon field on the top left corner, go to Developer tools and WebIDE), click on the “connect to remote runtime”, and you should now see a blue “Remote runtime” writing on the top right corner of the display. Now, click the “add packaged project” button and select the folder that contains the manifest.webapp file. Now click to the play button on the top of the screen, and the app should be installed. Open it on your phone, select the apps you want to throw away, and click to the soft right key. Then, reboot your phone.
